Christmas Festivities
Friday, December 14, 2007: (Please see my "Flickr Page" for many more photos; I will post more pics there later this week.)
This was the second time we had a Christmas decorating contest at WIMAC. At 10:30am, people from the 4th floor (the MSF team) went down to the 2nd floor (Broker Services team) to take a look at their handiwork. Each of us from the 4th floor wrote down our vote of which team had the best display for the 2nd floor, and placed it in a bowl handled by Mary Brandt.
Then we all went upstairs so that the Broker team could take a look at the 4th floor's decorations. This made it convenient for everyone to chat up the judges in an attempt to sway their votes. Linda Ruf was in charge of collecting the votes from the 2nd floor people.
At around 12:30 a few MSF reps came in and delivered a lunch (sandwiches and salad) for the 4th floor.
At 2pm, we had the 50/50 draw (also on the 4th floor). Laura Wong won the prize.
The office closed down early at 3:30pm and we headed to the Keg's 3rd floor dining room. Dinner was served at 4:30, and many door-prizes were given away. At 5:30, the winners of the decorating contest were announced. Ed's team won for the 2nd floor, and Allan's team won for the 4th floor. The last and biggest of the prizes (a notebook PC with other gadgets) was given away at 6:10. At this point many of us started to leave for home.
