Culinaria Restaurant

Thursday, September 20th, 12:05pm to 1:10pm:
Six of us went to the Culinaria Restaurant, run by the students of the Dubrulle Culinary Arts (The Art Institute of Vancouver). I believe this was the first time any of us had eaten here. This restaurant is located at the corner of Dunsmuir Street and Granville Street. It opened around 4 years ago.

I first phoned them to reserve a table, and they emailed me their lunch menu. They had their semester-break this week, so the menu was about half the usual length. I emailed back our list of pre-orders the day before we went. The restaurant opened at 11am, and all the tables happened to be unoccupied when we arrived. By 1pm the place became about half full.

The food was quite good, and the portions weren't too big. Instead of size, they tended to go for quality. Overall, it was a very good meal.

Our main dishes were served around 20 minutes after we arrived.
Here is the New York Steak Sandwich (4 oz.):
This is the Granville Fish & Chips (the fries are made of yams):
Here is the Torn Chicken Sandwich (there are curls of what appear to be fried chicken skin on top):
The Pan Seared Ling Cod (with "asian salad" on top, and fries below):
Chocolate Cake served at 12:54pm:
