Big Bike Ride, Part 1

Tuesday, May 15th: The fundraising event for the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

At 4pm, our group from the 4th floor (all 8 of us) walked over to the staging area in front of the Hyatt Hotel by Burrard Street.

We handed in our envelopes with the pledge money, and collected drinks and snacks.

Five minutes later, the people from the 2nd floor arrived.

There were boxes of fun stuff that we could wear for the bike ride:

We gathered for a group shot in front of the bike. I left that for the other people who brought cameras.

At around 4:35, we started our bike ride.

As Anne Dobko had collected the largest sum of pledges ($1500!), she got to sit on the seat without pedals.

We arrived back at the starting point at around 4:50.

Our team collected the largest amount of donations so far today: around $5900. The other teams were CTV, General Paint, Top Cops, Vancouver Police, and Ministry of Employment.
